Jacob Reses, the chief of staff to Vice President JD Vance, is leaving his position at the end of the summer.
Reses has been with Vance since his Senate campaign and has served in this role since Vance took office with President Trump in January 2025.
Reses informed Vance of his plans several months ago after his wife became pregnant. His future job plans are not immediately known.
The departure of Reses may impact Vance's administration as he has been a key figure in the vice president's team.
